MrOctober77 0 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Just installed Emby and trying to set it up. I have a Videos folder with various shows, movies and clips and several sub folders. When I add the folder to the library, it adds all the videos but the subfolders are not there, those videos are just mixed in with the rest of the Videos folder.
Luke 42081 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Hi there @@MrOctober77 welcome. can you please discuss a specific example? A screenshot would be very helpful. Thanks !
MrOctober77 0 Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 I have a Videos folder on a storage hard drive. It's filled with different videos. Just tv show clips, movies. With several subfolders with in the Videos folder. Adding the Videos folder to the library, all of the videos, including the ones in the subfolders are added. The subfolders are not adding individually. When I add the Pictures folder it added all the photos and the individual subfolders
Luke 42081 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 What content type did you select for your emby library?

ebr 16185 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Movies That is your issue. When you select that content type the system will expect things to conform to our naming conventions and structure for movies. For what you have you are going to want to select either mixed content or home videos depending on just how randomly the items are setup.
