QDivision 42 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Hi, When viewing genres through the web interface only a select few are showing. This is on a fairly recent clean build of windows 10 and Emby. When viewing the synced data through Kodi all the genres are there. When you look at a individual title you can see that genres are listed but when you click on one it shows a blank page. I have never installed Genre Cleaner so the issue isn't with that.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 You wil need to post a server log. As I can not reproduce in stable or beta.
QDivision 42 Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 Not sure which log will help but i have attached one of the larger ones. This has happened from a fresh install of 3.2.27 (now on 3.2.28) i haven't seen this problem before on previous installs.
QDivision 42 Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 Failed to attach for some reason. server-63638698987.txt
QDivision 42 Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 No. I generated them again through Emby as I moved from linux to Windows and the nfo files I had contained links to files/folders that would no longer exist. The new nfo files do have the correct genres inside.
Luke 42085 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Has the initial library scan completed with all of this new content completed? That is the important part.
QDivision 42 Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 Yes. It has been running for a few days now and all tasks are complete. All metadata is downloaded. I can post an example nfo file if that helps?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) But from your screenshots above you are having issues where Emby can't access the nfo file because it is already in use. Have you restarted the machine and performed another library scan? System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file '\\xxx\Movies\2 Guns\2 Guns.nfo' because it is being used by another process. Edited August 20, 2017 by Happy2Play
QDivision 42 Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 Yes I've tried that. I can't think what else would be accessing the files.
QDivision 42 Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 I've also added 2 more movies and the same thing happens. It's downloads the metadata successfully. But the genres assigned to them don't show in the genre page. I don't think it's an issue with the nfo files being in use.
QDivision 42 Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 I've removed my movie library and deleted the emby library database (kept all the nfo files and photos) then re-added the movie library and scanned. The genres are now all appearing.
