Running Emby Server on Windows 10 - no genres ??

I have emby running on windows 10, imported my library but have no genres in either movies, tv shows or music.

 

My library already has most of the .nfo metadata already before installing emby.

 

How can i get emby to create this?  - refreshing metadata doesn't do it, using identify and puting the imdb tt number then refreshing metadata doesn't create genres either  is there some setting I need to do?

Hi,

 

I can see that emby is reading the genres, its just not populated my genre tab.  My genre tab in all things movies , TV shows, and music is blank.  This is a fresh install.  Emby has never been on the computer before.  I was wondering If there was an option to rebuild them?

 

 

Here genres are showing, but they link to a blank page ???

Yes it has.

 

I just did run a report

 

It shows that it has read some as the xml file is 200 lines long

 

There are  a lot more in my database, it does appear that it has not finished because a few show here,

 

 

 

How can I get it to re-populate these ?

Should rescanning the library fix this issue?

Rescanning has indeed fixed the issue.  It appears that it "dropped out" for some unknown reason the first time.
