Movies with AAC 7.1 sound won't play in web browser

When I try to play movie with 8ch (7.1) AAC audio, it won't start at all. Couple rounds of spinning wheel and then jumps back to previous screen.

Emby Version 3.2.27.0 on Ubuntu 17.04

Tested in Firefox and Chrome (same behavior)

Movies with AAC 5.1 (and other formats) are working fine.

I am not sure how older versions behaved, noticed it just now.

In the trascoding log there is "TranscodingMaxAudioChannels=6" as part of the URL at the begging of the log - is that the reason? Is there any way I can change this value?

Can you please attach the emby server and ffmpeg log? Thanks.

Any idea how to fix it? Or am I only one with this problem?

New version 3.2.28.0, still can't play around 1/4 of my library :(

Can you provide a sample video for testing? thanks.

Sure...attached (had to store it in 7z, otherwise "you aren't permitted to upload...")

Just a short clip, tested - not working for me in emby web, plays fine anywhere else.

The file plays just fine for me. I would try getting a newer ffmpeg build, as I recall some issues in the 3.2.X versions although I'm currently having difficulty locating the forum topics about it.

As a part of my initial troubleshooting I went from some older ffmpeg build to latest "official" for Ubuntu Zesty, which is 3.2 and nothing has changed, so I haven't suspected ffmpeg anymore.

But you are right, after forcing update to ffmpeg 3.3 branch it works correctly. Thank you very much for your help.
