FR: Server - Group collections in movie list (editing mode)

I think a nice way to handle movie collections would be to group them in the movie list like in the image below.  This would allow a spot for collections to have their metadata and artwork easily configured, make it visually appealing, and easy to understand what movies are part of that collection. This also allows drag and drop to add and remove movies to a collection.

Collections can be auto scraped or manually created using this method also.

Forgot to mention, you should be able to create a collection by dragging two movies together, and a popup appears to give the collection a name. Alternatively, an entry in the metadata page for the movie could have a pulldown with all teh current collections available and a 'new' button to create a new one... or both ways. ;)

I like the sound of this if it is technically possible

XBMC has a feature that allows you to collapse movie sets like this. Would be nice to have comparable.

Easier methods to define custom collections are planned, but we basically have what you first asked for now.  The Auto Box Set plug-in will create collections for you and the metadata editor will show them just like you asked:

Sorry... miss read the request. Would be cool for some drag and drop functionality to create sets.

It isn't going to change the display of all your movies in their normal locations but it will give you the Box Set view in whatever Media Folder you set up for the plug-in to create these sets.
