rpoduend 1 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Good morning, I have a new problem when playing videos, any video in the library after one or two minutes, stop playing, having to start again without saving progress. Is happening with all the movies, saw a similar problem on a topic, but it did not work. Does anyone have any tips?

ebr 16187 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 As indicated in that topic, please reproduce your problem and then post the appropriate logs. Also you haven't told us what app you are using, what type of media you are playing, etc. Thanks.

Well I am an ordinary user with no knowledge for such, I use only in my house via pc, use in chome directly in the browser, the server is updated in the last version. The log I would not know which to send, with the guidance of someone, could go directly to the correct log and send it
ebr 16187 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Hi. Reproduce your problem and then attach the server log with the newest time stamp to a post. Also include any "ffmpeg" logs that may be in the same time period. How to find the logs is detailed in the section of that topic labeled "Emby Server Logs". Thanks.

Understood, I'm starting to get a better idea, I'm going to run a movie and wait until it closes automatically, and extract the log 1
rpoduend 1 Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 Perfect. Thanks. It always happens in any movie, right in the first few minutes, I'm attaching a sample photo along with the 2 logs log https://1drv.ms/f/s!AsaVnKeU2q9WhqNvyGReqCZxWNOUuQ SS http://i.imgur.com/soHvOUK.png
ebr 16187 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Hi. The transcode log looks fine and it looks like the transcode completes. The server log, however, is empty.
rpoduend 1 Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 Hi. The transcode log looks fine and it looks like the transcode completes. The server log, however, is empty. I removed all the server and installed, I cleaned the regedit, I did everything and until the moment it is running well, already it has been 23 minutes of video, and nothing happened, turning normally. However I'm running on another pc, with IE, I'll do more testing with the chome and I'll come back to say if everything is going well.
Luke 42083 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I would not recommend IE. For a better experience, try a modern browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

He was using the chrome, in all the films of the library, the films stopped being reproduced about 2 minutes after its beginning. With IE, all ran without any kind of crash or abrupt shutdown. I'll be testing with mozilla and opera, I'll come back to report.

Make sure there weren't any add-ons in Chrome that may have been affecting it.
bfir3 117 Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Happened to me yesterday again. Playback in Chrome with no add-ons using direct play in the local network. This episode played for about 16-18 minutes and then stopped before making it to the end around 22min. As always, the episode is flagged as watched and Emby would try to play the next episode if there is one. This is again related to the other topic I've started and is documented here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/48347-streaming-sometimes-closesreopens-constantly/ Here is my log from yesterday, the issue occurred between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM. Let me know if we can finally get to the bottom of this plague! And actually, there is another issue that occurred that is referenced in that same log. Around 2:25 AM I started playing an episode. Periodically throughout the episode playback would freeze for up to 20 seconds (sometimes for only 1-5 seconds) and then continue playback from that same spot without closing or restarting the episode. To rule out that this wasn't a file issue I tried playback locally and it was perfect. Additionally, I decided to try playback through one of your major competitors, and there was no issues there. I'm an Emby subscriber and I've been using this software for years. I love the look and feel of the app, but there have been so many performance issues that have arisen in the past two years (that were previously non-existent) that I feel forced to seek out an alternative solution. I decided to try one month premium with the competitor, and while I find the UI much less appealing, there have been no playback issues, and the library browsing experience in a web browser has been more responsive. I love Emby and love the philosophy that you devs consider when building the app. I want to help resolve these issues so that I can stick with Emby to the end! server-63638092799.zip
