mnaverfeldt 0 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Hi! I just ran a first scan which took just over three days to complete. Yes, I have a lots of content. Yes, I activated all settings that slows scan. The long scan is not a problem. My media is structured like this: - Movies ---- en -------- Movie (1999) ----------- Movie (1999).mkv ---- sv -------- Movie (1999) ----------- Movie (1999).mkv - TV ---- en -------- Show ----------- Season 1 --------------- Episode 1.mkv ---- sv -------- Show ----------- Season 1 --------------- Episode 1.mkv After my long scan I noticed that "en" got recognized as some weird tv show and all other content was placed as seasons underneath. So my plan is to rescan soon. Question is how do I set up the libraries? One library for each language? Or one big library with for the top folder with possibility to lock the language folders so they don't scan somehow, but the subfolders still do? Thanks!
bluemonkey07 590 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Question is how do you want them to display? You could have separate libraries for en movies sv movies, en TV and sv tv , or just a movies library but when setting up add the en and sv folders separately rather than just the root movies folder, and the same for tv. I think the first one option is probably better
darkassassin07 652 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) I agree with vidman: your best bet is to either separate en/sv into separate libraries, or add en/sv as separate folders in one library instead of the tv/movies folders. The first option will keep them separated, where as the second will display all your movies together and all shows together regardless of it being in en or sv. mnaverfeldt 0 Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 I see, thanks. I don't think I really care how it's displayed. But one of my devices run Kodi with Emby addon. Anyone know how multiple movie/tv sources will be handled there? Ideally all will be merged into one.
ebr 16187 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 If you want them merged into a single library, use the second option - one library with multiple locations (en,sv, etc.)

Ideally all will be merged into one.If using the default skin movie libraries will be merged, and TV show libraries will be merged, if using almost any other skin you can also define whatever entry points you want Edited August 12, 2017 by Vidman
