Dedicated server firewalld configuration

Hi,

 

I've just installed Emby on my dedicated server (CentOS 7) and configured my firewall :

 

firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8096/tcp --permanent

firewall-cmd --zone=public --add-port=8920/tcp --permanent
 

But I can't I can't connect to http://servername:8096 or https://servername:8920

 

However it works fine when I do :

ssh user@servername -L 8888:localhost:8096

 

And then I connect without any issue to Emby interface through http://localhost:8096

 

I use the default Emby settings

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. It's a dedicated server, it doesn't belong to my local network.

I would suggest taking a look at our Connection Troubleshooter. Please try the steps listed there and let us know what works and what doesn't. Thanks !

Who is your provider? Do they have a hardware firewall that is configured through the control panel in front of your server?

OK my bad, it seems the new firewalld rules didn't take effect. I made the changes again and it worked.
