What happened to multi-select in the browser?

I noticed a couple weeks ago that there is no way to long press and multi-select once inside a Season.  It changed around the time episodes started being listed vertically.  The multi-select works outside of a season, however.  As such there is now way to batch delete or mark watched.  It started to get discussed starting here https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/49573-live-tv-improvements-request/&do=findComment&comment=474794.  Please take a look.

 

edit:  This only appears to be a problem when drilling into the Seasons page from the particular TV Show page.  If I click "next up", I get the horizonal list of "More from Season X" and am able to multi-select there.
