Jack Burton 98 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I've never made a plugin before but always enjoy tinkering with Emby so I'd like to give it a go. I have an idea for a plugin and would like to know if it'd be extremely difficult or even possible before I try it. Basically, it's a live news view, with multiple feeds. I use the IPTV plugin for some 24 hour news channels ( RT, France24, and Al Jazeera). The plan would be to find one more good feed, and have all four on the screen at once. The screen would be quartered (I imagine this might require 4 video players?) The remote/mouse/keyboard would be able to select each quadrant, and whichever one the cursor rests on will play audio, muting the other 3. If something interesting or breaking pops up on one screen, you can select that screen and it would go full screen. A simple interface to setup would look like the IPTV plugin does now, with url feed for section 1 (top left), feed for section 2 (top right), etc. Does something like this sound possible?
Luke 42078 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Plugins can only import content, they can't influence the app UI, so I'm not sure you'll be able to do that.

Luke 42078 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 The concept of web plugins is coming. Theater already has them.
