Lighthammer 91 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 There seems to have been some changes with the newer format. Previously, you used to be able to get Emby to cooperate by adding either format to the file name:01x02 - Denotes Episode 1 AND 2 01x02x03 - Denotes Episode 1, 2 AND 3 (etc) 01-02 - Denotes Episode 1 THROUGH 2 01-03 - Denotes Episode 1 THROUGH 3 (etc)--- When in a TV series now, it doesn't seem to work anymore, and I can't seem to specify it under Edit -> Episode Number. I can't seem to figure out the appropriate nomenclature in this section. ---Thanks for the help.

jordy 284 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 I use - s01e01e02 - and that seems to work fine for me.
Lighthammer 91 Posted August 5, 2017 Author Posted August 5, 2017 Our tv naming guide covers this: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming Let us know if this helps. Thanks. I thought I made it pretty clear from my example its not a file naming convention issue. It's something that's changed on the server tech recently. Luke, I often wonder if you read the entire post anymore before posing a solution =(. You used to be really awesome with solutions, but in the last year or so, you tend to be that guy who's trying to tell you a solution before they've listened to the whole problem and understand it. I need a solution that allows me to edit them within the server, edit the files directly or force the server to see them correctly (IE a refresh). I use - s01e01e02 - and that seems to work fine for me. This is a convention I haven't tried. I'll try that.
Luke 42081 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 The reason I mentioned the wiki is because your last two examples are not supported conventions. If you're not even seeing the episode number field, then it looks like a folder structure issue. What is the content type of the library that you set it up with?
