irengineer 4 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Hello, I've been stably using version 2.5.4 with the update file deleted for a few months. This is on a Sony 1080p LCD. So this week I bought a Vizio P65 4k TV. As soon as I hook it up playback goes to crap. 90% dropped frames, Total mess until the screen just goes black and sound keeps going. Playing with Madvr settings changes nothing. So next I switched over to the latest version. Playback seems fine as far as stuttering goes, but in exclusive mode it starts by showing a zoomed in upper left side of the video only. If I go to windowed mode and them back the image is fine. It does this every time I start a video and doesn't matter what video. 480p source material is really poor quality too, but I assume it's that I don't have all the settings right. So I fire up kodi. Everything is fine. No problems. Picture isn't nearly as good as I don't have Madvr set up, but at least works. Any ideas? Any sort of log that I can share? Thanks...

irengineer 4 Posted August 5, 2017 Author Posted August 5, 2017 @@Luke 2nd paragraph above was experienced with all set to auto. Played with different settings and it didn't change. Image quality improved, but still did the zoomed upper left corner thing.

Luke 42078 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Unfortunately this issue is caused by a third party component we are depending on. You should be able to work around it by setting your zoom to 100%. If that's not something you can do, then I can help you update the component within Emby's install folder to a newer version, the only problem is the newer version will slightly degrade UI scrolling performance.

In windowed all works well with madvr and the picture is great. Going to test picture improvement without madvr now. Edit:and by the way, 100% scaling makes everything TINY.
