Hardware check, C2D ok for server?

Hi there, couldn't find anywhere more suitable for this - sorry if its in the wrong place. 

 

I've acquired an old pc that I am hoping to put my MB server on and was wondering if its up to task?

 

C2D E8200

4GB Ram (i think) - probably got some around to upgrade to 8GB, if it would be a great improvement

Mechanical HDD - would it be best to change for an SSD?

The cdd will be ok as long as you don't want to transcode to other devices. It is a bit underpowered for transcoding there are still some improvements coming in this area but I'm not sure a c2d will cut the mustard even after improvements.
