Will Emby play DVD rips with VOB format??

Friend brought over a Amlogic Android box so i could install Emby server (using LibreELEC), which we did.  However, he mentioned that all his rips are in folders with VoB files, been years since I have used rips that were VOB files.

 

Will Emby play the VOB files, or does he have to re-rip or convert those files??  I am sure Kodi will not play them, but not positive.

They'll play but on most client devices they'll require transcoding by the server.  Running them through makemkv to convert them to individual MKV files will produce much more generally compatible files and take very little time.
