donchichio 2 Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Hi all, the PC running emby server got the creators update a few days ago, and ever since I've been unable to play back anything in kodi or via the emby web console. Kodi gives me a playback failed message and the emby web player just spins a loading symbol forever. I've attached the server logs, please let me know if I need anything else. Thanks. server-63637228799.txt

Solution Luke 42083 Posted August 3, 2017 Solution Posted August 3, 2017 Windows 10 updates have been known to mess with network settings. It looks to me like ffmpeg cannot access the network location: \\192.168.1.10\tve$\30 Rock\Season 01\30 Rock - S01E01 - Pilot.avi So I would double check that the path is accessible and that the windows share is still working properly. 1
donchichio 2 Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 I've just tested and the shares are still working ok. The permissions look good too. Any other ideas? Thanks.
donchichio 2 Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 Actually you're right it is the permissions. For some reason when I try accessing the path on the server itself, it asks for a username and password. Although if I use the server name rather than the IP, it doesn't.
