Hi

 

Please could you put the instructions back up for 3rd party install on the H series as I use iPlayer etc and don't want to lose that. 

 

Also, I have 2 profiles ('parents' and 'kids') and the parents one requires a password to login in even though one is not set (i.e. I have to press 'OK' again on the blank password screen). Is there a way of getting it to stop asking for the non-existent password?

The instructions may just be hidden, I'll have to figure out how to unhide them or just recreate them if needed :(

 

 

I have an H-series TV so I'll try and whip something up here and then get that other link changed.  If I need to add more details let me know

 

Open the main menu pressing the Home key on your remote and scroll down to "Smart Hub" 

  • Select "Samsung Account"
  • Select "Log In"
  • enter "develop" - no need to enter a password
  • Press Login
  • Exit from the menu
  • Press the Smart Hub button on the remote and scroll to Apps
  • Highlight any app and press and hold enter for a few seconds until a menu pops up
  • Select "IP Setting"
  • Enter the IP address 173.230.139.54 and press OK
  • Highlight any app again in the hub by pressing enter for a few seconds until a menu pops up and this time select "Start User App Sync" from the Options menu - this will download the app

 

I'll have to reinstall the app, but I don't have any password on either of my accounts and I never got asked for one using that app.

Great, thanks for the instruction. I think I'm a few versions behind the latest (i installed it a long time ago!)

 

Anyone else have any idea's about the login thing???

I have thanks but I'm in the UK and want to use iPlayer (and occasionally the other channels catch-up services!).

Were you ever able to install the latest version and retry it?   Last thing I see is that a very old version was installed

 

Edit: latest stable is 2.2.2 or 2.2.3a if you want beta version with LiveTV.

Just tried and Samsung seem to have screwed me! I just deleted the old app with a view to installing the new version but when I press and hold 'ok' there's no option to entry an ip address anymore! Any ideas? I've bite lost Emby completely! :(

Oops! Rookie error, didn't read the instruction properly! So, the end result is.... almost everything is working perfectly! Silly log in issue is solved but now it's not showing one of the users pictures. Should I just add it again?

Great, I thought cmcg fixed that login issue, but couldn't remember.

 

I bet that the picture just didn't load in time.  My guess is that it will fix itself.
