embyrocks 0 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 okay so my question is, is it possible to make emby ignore a portion of the file name or folder name while scanning media, i often use ending on folder to identify them like lets say in a folder with multiple series i will add (x264), (x265), (HD), (SD) to the end of the folder name which emby seems to just fail with these and see it as a portion of the name and I'd hate to have to rename them all or rename all my folders so i was wondering, can i just tell emby to drop the identifier at the end of the folder name?
jordy 284 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I'm not sure, but you could try replacing the round brackets () with square ones [], I think Emby ignores anything inside square brackets... 2
Luke 42086 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 As long as we're able to find internet metadata, then the title should be replaced by that and you shouldn't be seeing these everywhere.

FrostByte 5392 Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Just in videos I believe though, when I use [ ] with extended albums it never identifies with anything in mbz for me.
