extensive 20 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Hi I am a newbie trying to get live tv and emby working. I have emby premiere and have been using it for over a year now. I used to have a win7 box, ceton tuner, and wmc for live tv then cut the cord. I just recently bought an over the air antenna. I get like 13 channels so nothing special but I would like to use emby to share the channels out. What tuner should I get for a no fuss no muss setup?

rbdubz3 0 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 if you were starting up from scratch, and ok with the extra cost of the HD HomeRun Extend, is this preferred over the Connect? I understand that Emby does some transcoding on its own. If this is the case, does the HD Extend provide any benefit?
Luke 42078 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 There can still be a benefit of offloading some transcoding, it's just not guaranteed to always be offloaded.
