smerrikin 3 Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Hi, I have tried to install the backup plugin but it never installs. I need to migrate my emby to a new server. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Luke 42080 Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Hi, why do you think it's not installed? What happens when you try to install it? Thanks.
smerrikin 3 Posted July 24, 2017 Author Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) I got it installed by rebooting the server but there is no restore that I can find. Very odd plugin. Can't seem to run the backup but can schedule one. When installing it would just spin for a split second and then nothing would happen. When I returned to the plugin manager it would not be there. Very odd. Oh look, a search feature... https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/21787-how-do-i-restore-from-a-backup/ On the new server add the location of the backups to the plugin (same as you did when you set it up to backup). It should then show you a list of available backups. Click on one and you can restore from it. There should be options as to what data you want to restore in case you don't want everything. DUHThis might have something to do with it though. When trying to update my server An error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. Luke 42080 Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 It sounds like you're not getting the browser notification to restart the server after the plugin installation. Perhaps you may have declined notifications from the web app at some point or another. We'll add additional information into the plugin install page to inform you that Emby Server needs to be restarted after a plugin install. As far as the repository update issue, it was reported in another topic and we are looking into it. Thanks.
