Image request questions

1 - If I specify a size for an image, can I specify just the width or height and it will scale the other dimension appropriately?

 

2 - If the request I make happens to be larger than the original image, will it scale it up or give me the original size? I would prefer to get the original rather than a scaled-up version.

yes it will scale if you just specify one dimension. in all cases it preserves AR unless both a fixed width and height are specified.

 

if you ask for a larger size it will scale up. i'd suggest using maxwidth/maxheight instead if that's what you need.
