How do I get the latest update?

I have the server update check set to Dev. My Dashboard notifies me:

Version 3.0.5135.31685

A new version of Media Browser Server is available!

Version 3.0.5165.31029 is now available for download.

Please shutdown the server and update manually.

But the download just installs 5135.31685 anyway. It does not get the update. What am I doing wrong?

You are running as a service so the automatic updates don't work.  It will probably download the update on its own if you give it time, then you can just re-start.  If you want to force it right now, stop the service, then bring up the normal server application and do the update from there.
