Sorahl 6 Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 auto organizing has always been hit or miss for me, but I figure anything it does do helps. besides I've always been able to direct one of the episodes manually and then it seems to figure out how to get from a to b. now it isn't so I have a folder for a show called Impossible. it has series subfolders. the episodes are clearly titled with series and episode number. its not automatically moving them. When I click on the folder icon in the auto-organize tab it brings up the different directories for shows. I locate Impossible. and then it comes back at me with this error once I hit OK Error Organizing File There was an error organizing the file. Error code: null. I am running version 3.2.24.0 on win 8.1 server log is attached thanks for your time/help! John server log.txt
Luke 42079 Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Do the episodes you're trying to organize exist on tvdb?
Sorahl 6 Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 ok.. so there is direct correlation to the ability to auto-organize and the website tvdb.com didn't know that. thanks John
diaz1510 154 Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I am also experiencing this issue, but the website is NOT currently down. Matter of fact it organizes for most shows I download, but right now it will not auto-organize 2 of them. One of them is a new show and the other is one I have but has recently begun a new season. I've checked naming and season/episode number of each file. Manually trying to organize creates the Null error code from the previous poster Both shows exist on thetvdb.com
micnda 2 Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I'm having the same problem as diaz1510. When I manually run auto organize run for a newly added show I get the Null error code. TVDB seems to be running fine and the episodes are listed on the site. If I manually move the episode to the season folder and run scan media library the meta is update properly.

diaz1510 154 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 @@Luke I've got a show from PBS specials. The TVDB is up and running, The episode is on the website and I've named the file properly. I even try to manually add it but I keep getting the null error code. It is episode 8 of season 2017 (PBS Specials). I've already got the show in my Emby collection with some episodes from 2016 already in that were loaded a long time ago. log.txt

Try updating to the latest version of Emby Server and switching to the new auto-organize plugin. And/or try also refreshing the series then going back to auto-organize.

Luke 42079 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 You refreshed the series from the series detail screen?
diaz1510 154 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) yes and I also upgraded to the latest server version with the auto-organize plugin...no change in behavior Edited August 25, 2017 by diaz1510
Luke 42079 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Ok, it's on tvdb but it has no original air date. I will have to check but if i recall i think we are ignoring episodes in that situation, and the reason for that is because there is often junk data on tvdb. i will have to review and see if we can remove that.
Luke 42079 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Actually I don't see that so i don't think we're doing that anymore. if you can find the series xml under the server's cache folder/tvdb/tvdb id, please attach that. thanks.
diaz1510 154 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 @@Luke, apologies, just getting your last message. So do you still need that XML? Reason I ask is, it looks like the episode has now auto-organized since I've been away. Did you do something to allow it to do so? I went to the folder but there is no series.xml file wiithin it. there are a few other file XMLs though (actors, banner, en, episodes, etc)
Starlionblue 82 Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 (edited) I'm having this same issue with Travelers (2016). "Error code: Null". The original air date and metadata certainly seem to be up on TheTVDB. I did try refreshing the series and all the metadata was indeed refreshed. 2017-10-25 11:32:15.599 Info App: Sorting file /share/Incoming/Unfinished/Travelers.S02E02.HDTV.x264-KILLERS.mkv into series /share/Stuff/Movies/TV Series/Travelers 2017-10-25 11:32:15.602 Warn App: No provider metadata found for Travelers season 2 episode 2 2017-10-25 11:32:15.603 Warn App: No provider metadata found for Travelers season 2 episode 2 2017-10-25 11:32:15.609 Error HttpServer: Error processing request *** Error Report *** Version: 3.2.34.0 Command line: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Emby/Emby/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exe Operating system: Unix 4.2.8.0 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True User Interactive: False Mono: 4.6.2 (Stable 4.6.2.7/08fd525 mercredi 23 novembre 2016, 17:45:54 (UTC+0100)) Processor count: 2 Program data path: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Emby/Emby/ProgramData-Server Application directory: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Emby/Emby System.Exception: No provider metadata found for Travelers season 2 episode 2 at Emby.AutoOrganize.Core.FileOrganizationService+<PerformEpisodeOrganization>d__31.MoveNext () [0x000bc] in <8572b145ecc545d8806f27f93948fd6f>:0 System.Exception at Emby.AutoOrganize.Core.FileOrganizationService+<PerformEpisodeOrganization>d__31.MoveNext () [0x000bc] in <8572b145ecc545d8806f27f93948fd6f>:0 2017-10-25 11:32:34.957 Info TaskManager: IntervalTrigger fired for task: Organize new media files 2017-10-25 11:32:34.958 Info TaskManager: Queueing task OrganizerScheduledTask 2017-10-25 11:32:34.958 Info TaskManager: Executing Organize new media files 2017-10-25 11:32:34.973 Info App: Sorting file /share/Incoming/Unfinished/Travelers.s02e01.INTERNAL.HDTV.x264-aAF.mkv 2017-10-25 11:32:35.460 Info App: Sorting file /share/Incoming/Unfinished/Travelers.s02e01.INTERNAL.HDTV.x264-aAF.mkv into series /share/Stuff/Movies/TV Series/Travelers 2017-10-25 11:32:35.462 Warn App: No provider metadata found for Travelers season 2 episode 1 2017-10-25 11:32:35.463 Warn App: No provider metadata found for Travelers season 2 episode 1 2017-10-25 11:32:35.464 Info App: Sorting file /share/Incoming/Unfinished/Travelers.S02E02.HDTV.x264-KILLERS.mkv 2017-10-25 11:32:35.867 Info App: Sorting file /share/Incoming/Unfinished/Travelers.S02E02.HDTV.x264-KILLERS.mkv into series /share/Stuff/Movies/TV Series/Travelers 2017-10-25 11:32:35.870 Warn App: No provider metadata found for Travelers season 2 episode 2 2017-10-25 11:32:35.870 Warn App: No provider metadata found for Travelers season 2 episode 2 2017-10-25 11:32:35.872 Info TaskManager: Organize new media files Completed after 0 minute(s) and 0 seconds Edited October 25, 2017 by Starlionblue
Luke 42079 Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 There was a situation I ran into with @@heula where even though the episode was listed on the tvdb website, it was not actually included in their api data. Maybe that's it. There is a valid error here, it's just that the UI needs to be updated to tell you what it is. I'll try to look at this when I have a chance. While we're here I'd like to point out that auto-organize is a community addition, and contributions are welcome and encouraged. the source code for the plugin can be found here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.AutoOrganize Thanks ! 1
Starlionblue 82 Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 I checked the TVDB ID of this show. It was the wrong one for some reason. Strange because it all worked last year. Anyway all refreshed and fixed now cheers.
