Hi , I can't get Music working in kodi ( with Emby addon ). Some albums plays well , showing track ... but half of my music library isn't working , Albums display work , but when i enter the album , no track , only ".." displayed. P.S : Only have problem with music on kodi outside home. Videos works fine , inside or outside home, with osmc, kodi ( on android tv), web access via internet..... so , is there somebody got a setup with work with music outside home with kodi ( and his emby addon )
Angelblue05 4132 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 (edited) I am curious. When you first setup, did you miss the prompt about music? It says use direct stream if you plan on listening to music outside of your network. If it's not clear then let me know. To fix your music, you'll have to reset your database unfortunately. First, go to the addon settings, sync options > Enable direct stream for music (it's a bit lower in the list). Press ok, then this time, launch the addon > Reset local database, yes, (yes), no. Let's me clarify some things in my lan : osmc with emby addon , all my music play well , addon parameters for music: enable music library: YES , enable direct stream for music: NO outside lan : android tv box (mi box ) with kodi ( and his emby addon ) , addon parameters for music : enable music library: YES , enable direct stream for music: YES I test direct stream yes and no , after each change , i'll did a full rescan of my library , but allways problem. At this point , i don't know what to test

Alex45 13 Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Hi , I uninstall kodi on my mi box ( outside lan ) , and then install it back again , same problem with music. So , I say to me , broken kodi , I do afull reset of my mi box, and then reinstall all with this parameters for music : enable music library: Yes , Enable direct stream for music : Yes And now , everything is working , include music. I feel a little stupid to disturb you for a problem that doesn't look with emby , but with kodi for android So , excuse me and have a nice day 1
