Hi,

Ive tried to add the folder the m3u is in on the computer in the add library option, ive tried all the menus to look for anything to select a file etc. Ive tried adding a couple of DVB plugins. Im stuck, Im trying to add the m3u server so I can use the emby kodi plugin and see if I can get the iptv stream to record.

You need to add the m3u as a Tuner source in Live TV setup.

What if the m3u contains radio stations? is it the same procedure?

Nevermind, I added the m3u file to the live tv setup and it works, I'm listening to radio stations through live tv right now.

Glad you were able to figure it out.

Hi everyone,

after some long testing I finally figured out how to get radio live streams to play in Emby. Using the m3u-tuner under Live-TV and creating a file called Internet Radio.m3u with the following content:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1, UK
http://uk7.internet-radio.com:8226/stream
#EXTINF:-1, ffh-mp3
http://mp3.ffh.de/radioffh/hqlivestream.mp3
#EXTINF:-1, ffh-AAC
http://mp3.ffh.de/radioffh/hqlivestream.aac

got it working. I found the .mp3 stream not working under any circumstances but I left it there for testing. The same .aac stream works fine though. (source: https://www.ffh.de/musik/webradios/stream-adressen.html)

Now to my problem: I've tested the UK and ffh.aac stream successful on Emby Theatre, any web browser and iOS (iPad) but cannot get it to work on my android devices (S8 and Nexus7, LG G4).

I've attached both server log, one for playing the stream through a web browser and the other on playing it on the Android app. The web browers also creates a ffmpeg-transcode log, iOS, Emby Theatre and Android don't.

Not sure if I should have posted this in the Android app section rather than here but it might be server related? I haven't changed any setting in the Transcoding section of the server.

Server: Version 3.4.1.27 beta

Emby Theatre: 3.0.1

Android Emby: 2.9.96 (?), newest release form 06.07.2018

Thanks for any help with that.

Cheers from Australia

Thanks, Luke.

It's running 3.4.1.28 Beta now and still no avail on Android. It just shows the spinning circle :(

My Internet Radio.m3u file looks like this now and works on all other devices and apps:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1, ffh Frankfurt
http://mp3.ffh.de/radioffh/hqlivestream.aac
#EXTINF:-1, ffh - Die 80er
http://mp3.ffh.de/ffhchannels/hq80er.aac
#EXTINF:-1, ffh - Brandneu
http://mp3.ffh.de/ffhchannels/hqbrandneu.aac
#EXTINF:-1, ffh - Summer Feeling
http://mp3.ffh.de/ffhchannels/hqsummerfeeling.aac

Yes, that is something I already reported, with a beta version they sent me before it works, so we only have to wait for the next release.

Oh, he meant the next full version... sorry I misunderstood this.

No problem, thanks for the update.
