muad'dib 0 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Hello.. I have emby server Version 3.2.24.0 for windows.. I can get emby to see my SMB shares with no issue, but can't seem to have it see my NFS shares... I tried syntax: nfs://IP(ip address of NFS location)/Movies (share name) I tried many different combos and no good.. It give error that network path is incorrect.. I can see NFS fine from my media players, android boxes, etc... Hope somone can help... I like the faster speed with NFS for 4K files as SMB sometimes with them will studder.. Thanks...
Luke 42077 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Hi, we don't have native nfs support at this time. What you need to do is mount it in the OS as a local share, then add the local share path to Emby Server. Please let us know if this helps. thanks !

Is there any speed advantage mounting a NFS to a folder then pointing EMBY to it.. VS.. Just pointing emby to a SMB share? Thanks Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
clarkss12 304 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Really all you need to do, to mount a networked drive is use the "Network Places". You should have an Network icon, just right click it and select "Map network drive". Click the "browse" button and it should list your NAS, just select the folder you wish to mount.

We don't recommend the map network drive function because windows will disconnect it when the drive idles and that will cause problems.
