files missing from metadata

Okay, this is a weird one.

I noticed while doing a general clean up, that a couple of files were missing.  the naming convention I use is name.year.resolution.extension, so (one of the two examples):

robin.hood.1973.1080p.mkv

robin.hood.2010.1080p.mkv

I exported the database and checked TypedBaseItems; sure enough, the files were listed there.  The only problem being that the second file wasn't showing up in the metadata list.

So, I removed it, scanned the library, moved it back, scanned again... I got the alert that it found a new file, but truncated strangely, and once again... in the database, but not in the library metadata.

Next stop, I changed the file names as below:

disneys.robin.hood.1973.1080p.mkv

robin.hood.2010.1080p.mkv

rescanned, and the files all appear 'properly'.

It looks like the file name for the second one didn't actually change, right?

Correct, I only changed the name of one file each; as soon as I did that, everything straightened up.
