garegina 6 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Hi I was using Emby 2.2.3A app on my D series Samsung. It was working great. After Server Version 3.2.2.0 update now when Emby starts the splash screen is bright like it should be but the login screen and every screen after very dull as if the brightness has been turned right down. I'm using A Qnap 453A Pro Is this TV now just too old - I have factory reset it and same result. I have other Samsung H Series & J Series and neither have this issue Thanks in advanced Garegina
FrostByte 5392 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Try loading version 1.06. The version you have loaded wasn't meant for your TV, but for 2012 E-Series through 2014 H-series sets. Unfortunately, the hub on D-series TVs aren't able to properly display some of the higher resolution images (backdrops, splash screens, etc) which the later sets can so the app was forked after version 1.06.
FrostByte 5392 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 My appologies, it looks like some of the IP addresses were swapped around and the instructions were pointing to the wrong version for D-series TVs. The instructions have been updated and just tested so everything should be correct now. If you can't get v1.0.6 let me know, I still have the zip file on my server. 1
garegina 6 Posted July 4, 2017 Author Posted July 4, 2017 Thankyou FrostByte yes I reloaded it and all is good. Is there any chance this download would stop being hosted and if there is would it be possible to get a copy of V1.0.6 Thanks Garegina
FrostByte 5392 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 It's possible it could go down at some point. It's being hosted by a user and not Emby. I can send you the zip and xml if you wish and then you can host it on your own webserver if you wish. That's what I do
garegina 6 Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 Thanks Frostbyte that would be great - I appreciate your help

RafaG 17 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Hi, 2011. More information in this post https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/9869-samsung-smart-tv-app-install-instructions/&do=findComment&comment=277348, but the server where the old version is hosted is seem it is not working. I know this subject is unofficial, because are not yet supported this models from Emby. :-) Do you have or do you know where I can found the 1.06 version? BR
Luke 42077 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 I don't know, sorry. It is a community app built and maintained by emby community members.
