Increase latest Movies on home.html

Hello everyone,

 

So I've been trying to figure out how to increase the amount of movies that are shown under the "Latest Movies" section in home.html.

So far I've managed to figure out that the web app is sending a GET Request to the server with a query string Parameter "Limit=8". I've been trying to find the file to change this from 8 to 16, however I havent managed to find this.

Could someone please help me?

hi, there are currently no settings for this, but if you click Latest Movies it will take you to the Movies section where there are more than 8. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

The file you are looking to edit is called homesections.js and the specific function is function renderLatestSection. You'll want to edit this part:

enableScrollX() || (limit = "tvshows" === parent.CollectionType ? 5 : "music" === parent.CollectionType ? 9 : 8);

Just change the 8 to whatever you want. This will also change the limit for any collection types that aren't TV shows or music.

Yep, and there's also a setting to disable automatic updates so that you don't have to worry about re-implementing your changes. That option is in Settings>Automatic Updates.

I don't think you're going to need to bother with this hack anymore because in a couple server releases from now the section will scroll horizontally and have arrows you can click to scroll. With that in place we can now in increase the limit anyway.

This sounds fantastic, I imagine these arrows will be implemented for the "More from Season X" sections on the episode page? Great work!
