Wake on LAN

Is there a wake on LAN feature for Emby? Or does anyone have a tool they use from their phone?

 

I have an HTPC that has my movie DB and tuner card that also runs Emby server locally. I'd like to be able to remotely wake that PC to be able to watch movies or tv from my bedroom (HTPC is located in living room, which once I move will be downstairs) or away from home.

First make sure that your server is connected to your LAN line, enable WOL in BIOS and OS.

I use my HA server to perform my WOL, and then use the app on my phone to manually WOL, or allow my automation events to programmatically wake systems up. If you don't want to get that geeky you could pickup a WOL app on your phone.

The next update to the Emby Theater Windows Store app will have Wake on LAN. You'll be able to wake a server from the server selection screen. Just click on a server as usual, and you'll see "Wake On LAN" as one of the options in the menu for that server.
