zigzagtshirt 55 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I can not remotely access my emby What kind of device are you trying to access the server from? Did you open up the necessary port on your network firewall?
BAlGaInTl 288 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I'm not fluent in Portuguese, or familiar with vivo... It seems that your External and Internal are both pointing to your External IP address... Shouldn't the internal address be something like 192.168.15.3 or whatever IP address your Emby server resides at?
zigzagtshirt 55 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Indeed, it looks like he isn't forwarding to the internal IP.
Camillo2BR 0 Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 There is some tutorial explaining step by step because I'm not able to do
Tur0k 148 Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) 1. setup a DHCP reserved IP address for your Emby server. This will normally be done in your router/firewall. 1.b. Alternatively you could setup a static IP address on he server iteself. The IP address will need to be in the same subnet as the rest of your network, but will need to be outside your DHCP scope (some home routers don't like this and will not allow communication to the static ip, in this case use an IP address at the end of your DHCP scope. Write this IP address down. 2. edit your firewall rule internal IP and set it to the IP you assigned to your Emby server. This will forward port 8086 traffic from your wan port to your Emby server. 3. Make sure that your windows firewall is Set up to allow inbound port 8096 traffic and that allow edge traversal is enabled in the rule. 4. Watch some movies, listen to some tunes, and be happy.
