Luke 42078 Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 @ can you tell him the process for obtaining an mpv log? We don't have this documented yet but I think mpv logging will probably show some kind of failure to download the subtitles. Thanks.
Guest asrequested Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) Ok, so to get some logs, make an mpv.conf file in this location C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\mpv Then add this line to it log-file="D:\ET mpv logs\log.txt" And change the highlighted text to the location of your choosing. Hopefully we'll see what's going on with what your issue is. Edited July 18, 2017 by Doofus
Guest asrequested Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I can't find any reference to subtitles in that log, which would show they are not present. But I have no idea, why...
JunkStar 11 Posted July 19, 2017 Author Posted July 19, 2017 But when im playing the video i can select the subtitles and it was set to on in that log
Guest asrequested Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Here's an example of what you might see [mkv] | + Track type: Subtitle [ 0.025][v][mkv] | + Codec ID: S_HDMV/PGS [ 0.025][v][mkv] | + Default flag: 1 [ 0.025][v][mkv] | + Forced flag: 0 [ 0.025][v][mkv] | + a track... [ 0.025][v][mkv] | + Track number: 6 [ 0.025][v][mkv] | + Track type: Subtitle [ 0.025][v][mkv] | + Codec ID: S_HDMV/PGS But it isn't present in that log. Something is occurring that inhibits mpv from seeing/processing/using the sub track. One possibility is that it's property is being changed in a way that mpv doesn't recognize it. I'm just throwing that out there. It's odd that this only happens with playback from outside your network.
