[Feature Request] Rethink the Brightness Control

It's really difficult to use on all of my devices.  Every time I try to adjust it it goes either all the way up or all the way down.  It's extremely frustrating.  Maybe the control area is too small?

 

I don't have a great idea of how it should be but I prefer the way mvplayer and vlc have done it where the entire side/edge of the screen is a slider.

 

I don't use the volume slider at all as I prefer the hardware buttons but it may behave the same way.
