Poster strip size not uniform

Recommended Posts

It seems that some of my movies doesn't show the correct size compared to the standard size poster strip.  Before I encountered the poster strip size issue I could just correct it by renaming the movie folder. However just recently renaming the movie folder no longer corrects the poster size.

I am not sure exactly what you mean, but judging by the image you posted, there is two things happening.

1. The highlighted posted uses a shrink/grow animating to show that it is highlighted. this would cause the selected movie poster to be larger than the others in the thumbstrip.

2. On the right of your selected movie the poster is represented by a thumb image extracted from the movie itself and placed in the flow of covers to represent that movie. It is a 16x9 screen shot of a clip from the movie.

this can be rectified by either refreshing that particular folder (pressing the "rec" button on your remote) while Internet providers are turned on. This will replace the 16x9 extracted image with the poster for your new movie..

I hope I have helped you.

Also I should mention that the two current providers IMDB.com and FANART.com both have different sizes of folder art.

FANART is about 200px less in width from IMDB.com folders which are 1000x1500.

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it.

The imbd thumb strip image is a hit a miss but it corrected some of my movie thumb strip size but not all. The Fanart so far doesn't work.

I haven't use the remote rec button to refresh the folder. For some reason my remote stopped working. Ayhow, Thanks for the response I highly appreciate it.

You most likely have a thumb image saved as the primary. The system won't overwrite your custom images.

Go into the server and click the pencil icon at the top of the screen.

Scroll through your library and find your Aladdin Movie.

Click Edit

Click "Browse Images".

Select a Primary image to use.

Thanks for the step by step detailed info. I appreciate it.

It seems like there's something wrong with the path. The fact that when I select a primary image to download be it 571x858 image or 1000x1508 image it would prompt "Access to the path poster jpg denied".

Edit:  Issue has been solved. I clicked on the drive path properties to full control sharing.
