computerprep 148 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 (edited) If I longpress on a movie image placeholder in the Android Mobile app that doesn't have a primary image, it highlights the text inside the colored box unless I very carefully long press outside that text but inside the placeholding box. Looks like there needs to be some kind of masking element keeping users from longpress selecting that text. Edited June 21, 2017 by computerprep
Luke 42077 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Well the last time I disabled this it drew complaints from those who wanted to be able to copy text
computerprep 148 Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 Hmmmm... How would said complainers highlight the text if there was an image present? They'd have to open the item... Maybe the text inside the details can remain selectable, but not the backup text when primary image is missing? Ie, this could be correct behavior... And this could be incorrect behavior? ...
computerprep 148 Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 I mean, I'm all for leaving it if there's a legitimate reason. This is a community after all. Thanks.
CBers 7450 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 I wouldn't say there was anything wrong. You have text displayed, so the Android OS is offering you the chance to copy it.
