Getting artwork via fanart.tv not possible

Hi,

since some days it isn't possible for me to get any artwork from fanart.tv, with or without my API key.

With my browser there is absolutely no problem, but Emby Server is not able to find anything.

Perhaps you find something in my log!

I'm not sure if this is an emby issue, or a fanart.tv issue.

Emby is unable to find images from fanart.tv on most of my media.  I do have FanArt checked in my library metadata settings, and emby seems to be looking when I choose to "edit images," but it only finds TheMovieDb images.  What's odd, is that it finds images for SOME movies/tv, but only a very few.  This has only been an issue for the last day or so.  Before that, I was able to get images from fanart.tv.

I realize that this could be an issue with fanart.tv, and not emby, but thought I'd check here to see if maybe I have something wrong with my settings, or if there may be some issue with emby server (which I just recently updated).  Any help would be appreciated.

Running:
Emby Server 3.2.20.0
Windows 10 Home

Thanks,

Dusty

I am seeing the same in the beta versions also.  Going to Edit Images produces no fanart.tv images.

There have been errors in server logs coming from fanart servers, so I would just give it a day or two and see if it resolves itself. I just did some testing and I'm able to browse for fanart images.

I do see the hit and miss with the testing I just did.  One movie would display information then the next would display none.

Thanks for the quick responses!   I had a feeling it might be on fanart.tv's end (website seems a bit slow and wonky), but it coincided with my updating emby, so I wanted to check here too.  Hopefully fanart will get things ironed out soon.  :)

I just tried getting artwork with MediaElch and Ember Media Manager ... They also don't find anything at fanart.tv ... So we all have to be patient ...

Thanks for the investigation.

I'm hoping this is fixed, either cloudflare or one of the servers wasn't happy (or both), so we are now running on a single server.  If this resolves API errors but images still aren't coming through then I'll have to take the assets servers off cloudflare as well, so please let me know.

At the moment I don't get any artwork from fanart.tv via Emby Server, and in the logs I see "Internal Server Error (500)! I've just tried it ...

I can only assume the responses are cached in some way?  @@Luke might know better though, I can't currently see any issues, but I'm not sure if the issues you are getting relate to api requests or asset requests.

But the problem is that I have the same result with Kodi, MediaElch and Ember Media Manager. They all doesn't find any artwork at fanart.tv ... On 2 different computers ...

@Luke: Would you please check if fanart.tv is working at your Emby Server?

Thanks a lot!

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

You can follow the issue here.

I'm sorry we are having issues at the moment but the infrastructure currently has to support over 17 billion requests a month, which can be a bit of a juggling act, hopefully it will all be running smoothly again soon.

Yea and Kode reached out to me so we are talking as well. I'll pass on info if/when I know more. Thanks.

Ok, so I moved the database away from SYS and onto a hosted instance, there was an initial backlog stopping things from working until the caching was in place, but fingers crossed it should all be good now.  @@Luke any way you can check your end and see if things are now coming through?

I can confirm there are images coming through now.
