pju 10 Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 I have a long running experience with Emby automatic server updates being (re)activated at each(?) upgrade of Emby Server. And I do not want Emby to manage if and when my server should be updated. So I always untick the automatic server updates. Just to find out that next time the server is upgraded- automatic server update is activated again. I have spent quite some time today to dig out why my *.xml metadata files no longer was read at library scan because I was not aware that the server had been updated. Could you please try not to touch this option ?
Luke 42080 Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 It's a known issue but only occurs if you click the "Update Now" button. You can work around it simply by installing the update from the website instead.
Logos302 86 Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 Run it as a service then it will not upgrade . no matter the setting .
pju 10 Posted June 19, 2017 Author Posted June 19, 2017 @Luke: SInce it is a known issue, is there any reason for it not to be changed - except of course priority. @Logos302: Good point - I have preferred my current setup. But now I will definitely consider your solution
Luke 42080 Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 Correct. We simply just haven't gotten to it yet. Thanks.
