Hardware Advice

Looking for a bit of advice here with regard to hardware for running Emby.

 

I currently run Emby of a Qnap TVS-EC1080 with an Intel Xeon E3-1246 v3 @ 3.60Ghz

 

Although Emby functions perfectly well on this when it comes to transcoding for broadcasting over the net Emby really uses up at least half of the CPU using ffmpeg, this is not good as I need the NAS to provide other functions. The CPU supports quick sync but due to QNAP firmware Emby cant use it!

 

So....I'm also planing on building an i7 server for hosting LAN games and doing other number crunching tasks for me. What sort of i7 will I require for Quick sync or similar transcoding on the fly?
