EAC-3 support for Chromecast

My Emby server chooses to transcode EAC-3 streams when I'm streaming to the Chromecast, while it direct plays AC-3. It seems to not be aware that Chromecast handles EAC-3 pass-through fine?

 

In any case, could this be fixed, or could one of the devs give me a hint to where in the source code the profile for Chromecast is defined so I can fix it myself?

Hi, we already do support this, but not all Chromecast devices and equipment support Eac3.  We are checking support for it by following Google Cast guidelines, using the media type string that can be found here:
