Feature request: current user

Hi all

 

Was wondering if it's possible to add who is the current user at the top of the screen. As the main setup is in the living room is used by the kids they don't always log out. It would be nice to know if I need to log out and in again.

If you are talking about the login page then no, but that's not what am asking about. Maybe I should have been clearer about what I was asking for. I was asking for the users name to be on all the screens if possible or at least the first main screen.

So you want the a footer with the users name displayed under the user icon, just like the name is displayed on login page.

As luke was alluding to, if your users have an image uploaded that image shows up in emby theater..  I don't think the OP realizes that user images currently show up on the home screen.    So he could create Icons with the first letter of the user to visually see who is logged in, like below.  I don't believe the OP necessarily wants the text name added to the image, I think they just want to be able to tell who is currently logged in.

yea the reason I bring it up is because while it is probably a good idea to show the name here, what happens in situations where there is not enough space. that's why customizing the user image is recommended.

Yes.  Simply assign  each user a unique image.
