Photos vs Home Videos & Photos

I currently have my home videos and photos libraries set with the "Home Videos & Photos" content type.  I see that in 3.2.20 support has been added for a video icon to depict a video/movie file vs a picture which I am keen to get working.  The problem is I see it only works for libraries set to "Photos" content type not Home Videos & Photos.  

 

- What is the difference between the two library types, Photos vs Home Videos & Photos? 

- @@Luke, will the support for the icon be added to the Home Videos & Photos library type?

Ultimately the separate Photos type will probably be deprecated but internally we still have some work to do before we can do that. If you're happy with your current setup then I would just leave things the way they are. Thanks.

Ok great, thanks @@Luke.  The only reason I ask is the new icon you added in 3.2.20 to differentiate between a movie/photo only works for the Photos library, not Home Videos & Photos.  I would like to just leave things as they are but wanted to know if the Movie icon will get added to that library type too?

Luke, any confirmation as to whether the movie type icon will make it to "Home Videos & Photos" or will it be available in "Photos" only?  Probably a small feature for most but something I've been waiting a long time for.

@@Luke, same as thread here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/29395-photos-squashed-not-rotated/   Not sure what "future update" means, is this something that won't happen or will take months/years?

 

Also never got a reply on what the differences were between the two library types.  I am considering rebuilding my Emby install and would like to know which library type I should go for if the "Photos" type will be eventually discontinued, don't want to have to rebuild again as I have 100k+ photos.
