Live TV series recordings don't pick up new "New" shows

Hi, I've got an interesting dilemma, hoping somebody out there has some advice.

I have series recordings set up for all new shows of the following talk shows:

Late Night With Seth Meyers

The Late Show With Steven Colbert

The Daily Show With Trevor Noah

I am using my own XMLTV solution using Zap2It for a full 14-day spread, which seems to keep up fairly well with newly identified shows.  My problem is, only the Trevor Noah series continues to record new shows.

I just canceled and recreated Seth Meyers and Steven Colbert, and I've attached a couple screenshots of Seth Meyers illustrating the issue.  I'm all set to record the next three new shows, but the 4th new show - which was unidentified when I reset the series recording yesterday, is grayed out.

Oddly, however, Trevor Noah continues to record away!

Any thoughts out there?

Thanks!

Sure - here is the Seth Meyers which does not register as being "new":

Here is the episode of Trevor Noah that is the furthest out - 6/22.  The untrained eye only sees the fact it doesn't have any show info beyond the season and episode#:

Here is my batch file that performs the JSON API call (but you need to know the zap2xml.exe commands to properly interpret):

zap2xml -j -T -D -u <mylogin> -p <mypw> -d 14 -N 14

OK thanks for the interest @@Luke!  Maybe it would be easiest just to dump the whole XML?  Attached!

what options are set on the series?

Pretty standard I believe - see attached.  The batch file ran again last night, and the library scheduled task completed, and it did not pick up the next new episode - also attached.

try unchecking the don't record option already in library. see if that has an impact. thanks.

OK I think I may have tried that already but will try again to be sure.

OK so just unchecking the "don't record if already in library" didn't do anything.  I also gave it a day for guide refresh etc. and the series recording still didn't pick up new episodes.

So I just canceled and reset the series recording with the box unchecked, we'll see over time if that makes any difference though I am skeptical.

@@Luke is there any kind of hidden scheduled task that runs which validates the series recordings each day?  Just trying to figure out how these are refreshed in the first place, are they supposed to update when the guide refresh occurs?

Meanwhile, Trevor Noah keeps chugging away and adding new episodes, and it's set to not record if already in library.  The only difference in the XML metadata is these future shows don't appear to have any description, just the season# and episode#.  See attached!

No, it happens during the regular guide refresh.

I just checked...new episodes are still not being captured in the series recording.

Only on that one tv show?

I am experiencing this phenomenon on Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.  Other shows with new episodes, like The Daily Show With Trevor Noah and Downward Dog, seem to be fine.
