Fail2ban updates?

Anyone got any new discoveries/advice/filters re fail2ban?  I've read this https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/31362-fail2ban-custom-emby-filter/ but it's over a year old, so I'm just curious if that's what everyone is still using or whether there's a better approach.  Thanks

looked into using wail2ban (windows version) with NGINX but never got round to it. if anyone has any ideas or other bits of software to do the same job i'm all ears.
