System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service That's bizarre because I'm far from being out of disk space on my system drive (over 40 GB remaining on that SSD) and only about 3GB of my total 8GB of RAM is being used. However, one of my storage drives is definitely low, but I'm not sure that's what it's referring to. I can certainly free up some space on the drives that are low, but the system drive where the library.db file resides has enough free space.

that certainly explains why none of my new content is being recognized with the automated monitoring process. But I still don't understand what's causing insufficient resources. I even performed a service restart. Perhaps a full server reboot is indicated, although I rebooted just 2 days ago. Also, I don't have any data drive that is below 9 GB of free space. Certainly Emby doesn't require more than that to do a library cleanup process. BTW, my library.db file is about 3.5GB n size.
overClocked! 65 Posted June 13, 2017 Author Posted June 13, 2017 Yes all the topics that reference "Disk Image Malformed" mean there is a corrupt database. Does a Library Scan fail also? Nope. Library scan completes just fine. In fact, it's quicker than it's ever been after this 3.2.20.0 update.

Less than 16 TB of stuff in my collection, including WMC recorded TV (which I have ServerWMC disabled right now). I don't know why its so inflated. Maybe that's the corruption we're seeing. So I'm going to go ahead and delete that library.db file and allow it to rebuild. *sigh* I hope it can complete successfully. I'll let you know.

This will allow userdata restoration without trying to hack the old database. I shut down the Emby service, renamed that .db file, and started a library scan. It's been running now for over an hour and a half now and has completed 23.6%. I expect it to run for several more hours as it rebuilds everything. I'm in no rush. I have all my metadata stored in the media folders, so I'm not afraid of losing much. And yes, I do have the server configuration backup plugin so I have a little safety valve in case something doesn't go right. Another thing that's been failing is the people refresh task. It would run for a couple of days and never complete. So I had been trying to run in manually. Last ran 4 days ago taking 8 hours 13 minutes. But it did say it completed successfully. Perhaps there is another db file that is corrupted as well? I'll check some of my older logs from when I was having those problems.

I am using that XML plugin as I started off with XML from back in the day and didn't really want to switch over to .NFO. But the more recent versions of the server only allow saving the metadata in NFO, so I guess I have both now, with XML taking precedence over .NFO. Also, I did forget about that chapter image extraction thing. I do have that enabled with the library scan. So I guess I'll be waiting for a pretty long time. It's no biggie since I'm at work and not in a terrible hurry. I really like having those chapter images available. I have too many libraries to kill the process, change the setting for each one start up the scan, and then change it all back once it completes. I'd just rather wait.

There is a feature request for that, this would prevent regeneration with every build if they were saved with media. Currently they are saved to the \metadata\library\xx\xxxx itemid xxxxx folder.

overClocked! 65 Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 (edited) Well, after a full day and a half (with a couple of hiccups along the way), the library scan completed successfully and rebuilt the database. File size now, 188MB. [emoji102]. What a difference that makes! Everything seems to be running silky smooth and swift right now, especially remotely over the Internet on iOS (1.3.3). The only thing that I see is that some of my date added to library values changed. Some really old content shows that it's just been added and has displaced my truly newer content from the latest views. While it's annoying, it's not the end of the world. Do I have to change these manually or is there a way to batch process these to correct the date added? Edit: I forgot to add also that all my scheduled tasks are completing successfully also. porkbone 47 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Check your library settings in the dashboard - go to the advanced tab and at the top select Use File Creation Date. Maybe... I just re loaded my library.db too. what a difference that makes!
