I'm not getting that.... i just rebuilt the solution.  close your VS.  get the latest from master branch on git.  open .sln and rebuild.  See if it's the plugin

Try Getting an EpisodeTitleSequence

Okay it was my fault. You can not have an empty TriggerInfo in a scheduled Task.. My bad.

Darn I have to go to work!

Here is the GetEpisodeTitleSequence return data:

{
  "IndexNumber": 1,
  "InternalId": 40,
  "HasSequence": true,
  "TitleSequenceStart": "PT1M57S",
  "TitleSequenceEnd": "PT2M27S",
  "SeriesId": 5,
  "SeasonId": 29
}

I'll have to write a query for a season Result of BaseTitleSequence when I get home.

I'll also have to get all sync'd properly in my solution.

It shouldn't be to difficult to write the Base for season Data.

I wish I could code longer today...

Darn!

IDK what version you guys are at but I'm on .2.9. After nearly two days here's some results. Do you need anything else?

I know there's some re-caps in Season 6 that I have and the intro sequence is shorter:

Not the only show with failure to detect but it seems to not have worked for The Big Bang Theory.

@chef

I loaded up the dll and everything is broken for me. and I don't know where to start.

I can see that the only thing changed is the repo here for me in the chapterEntry and Chapter Task.

ITitleSequenceRepository repo = IntroSkipPluginEntryPoint.Instance.Repository;

how long is the Big Bang theory intro?  I think if it's less than 20secs it's ignored.  I had Arrow and The Boys which are about 5 secs long so is not processed during detection.

What is your feelings on the accuracy of the detection.

As i have stated previously, i'm sure that the encoding is the real issue and not the detection of the plugin that throws inaccuracies.

Big Bang Theory worked fine for me, intro is 22-25 seconds depending on the season. Which indicates it's a bit fuzzy about the edges, as they should all be identical, but it's getting the bulk of it.

I will do that. Does it only scan new entries after this?

BTW, take a look at the GoT results. I got results but they don't look quite right. Is what I'm getting consistent with what others are seeing?

I'm not sue if GoT is being detected properly. See my comment to @chef above.

Thanks very much chef,

Ok so i've sorted out the chapters now.....  Only title sequence is inserted and the next chapter starts in order.

I'll need someone to test this on a small library where they actually have the chapter names.

Is this ready to test Cheese ?  What version do I need to use please ?

So we have had a bit of a nightmare with the merges.  Chef has done some work to the db and changed some stuff and now the plugin isn't working correctly.

I will need to test, however i'll PM you the original one without chefs changes which you should be able to test.

Hello,
I would like to ask you a question. I have installed the plugin and I have series that content on an external server. I have a VPN access with Wireguard to access the series. When an episode that I have locally is analyzed it takes about 2 seconds. When an episode is scanned and it is out of my local network it takes about 200 seconds.

I would like to add that having the FFTH connection between my local server and the external server I am at about 60 megabytes per second.

The remote folder is mounted with the NFSv3 protocol and the 2 servers are currently on the unRAID operating system.

Would you have an explanation ?

Thank you very much for your work !

I have absolutely no idea what any of that means, but i would imagine that there are lots of points to VPN and Wireguard with encryption and decryption that won't help the process.

there is a lot of processing required for the fingerprinting and then the detection and i would say your tunnels to the server are your choke points.

60Mb/s is not fast when reading and writing to memory.

There is a huge amount of disk I/O required for these tasks - both to the dB (which should be local) but also from the ffmpeg analysis (when doing Fingerprinting) and again from Chromeprint when doing the Detect/analysing.    NAS's on the same LAN appear to struggle - so for a remote low bandwidth connection - I would say this is to be expected.

It 'might' be technically quicker to actually download the item and process it local (and then delete it when you have the Title Sequence Info - but that is way beyond where we are at the moment.

Just remote connections in general I think. Mine was struggling on a local NAS over a gigabit connection (though admittedly it's a low powered system).

I agree.
Just in case, here's some clarification: I was talking in megabytes for my connection, not in megabits. I have a connection with my VPN which is 500 megabit/s.
The database is local on my server just some media are stored externally.

Anyway I thank you very much for your answers and for the work you do.

Sure - I haven't looked into this in any depth within IntroSkip, but due to the TCP/IP overhead and latency even on a LAN, network access is almost always 'slower' that a Direct Attached Storage or a dedicated storage architecture such as SAN/Fibre Channel.
