Skins compatibility

Figured this needed its own topic.

 

Why do Skins only work on "ET for Windows" (desktop version)? Is it the different settings/menu options between the version?

Win 10 app and tv.emby.media

You get spinning circle but if you back out and re-enter Install plugin you see plugin is supposedly installed.




But no way to select it and if you close and reopen app it is no long shown as installed.




Where are the logs for the app located?

It's possible that uwp isn't allowing external script execution, so at some point we'll need a workaround for that. We will probably need to host the plugins ourselves so that we can whitelist the domain in the app.

I was going to suggest that once the skin options increase, getting that plugin catalog would be great.  Definitely by the time ET is more widely used.
