bozrdnag 75 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I have Native playback enabled in settings and it works for movies but it doesn't seem to for trailers. I have my trailers stored in the same folder as their corresponding movie. But kodi always says streaming when I play a trailer. Additionally, it takes much, much longer for trailers to start playing than movies. When I click on a movie it's less than a second before playback begins but trailers are like 10-12 seconds before anything starts to play. Both behaviors are consistent across thread different machines. Is there anything that can be done about this? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 (edited) How are you playing your trailers? An add-on or something? We have no control over playback with the native playback option. Trailers are only supported with add-on playback. It even says it when you setup Emby for Kodi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited June 7, 2017 by Angelblue05
bozrdnag 75 Posted June 7, 2017 Author Posted June 7, 2017 I am just going in to Kodi's movie info screen and selecting the trailer button. No addons or anything. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk 1
bozrdnag 75 Posted June 7, 2017 Author Posted June 7, 2017 I guess I missed that message on setup. If you can save the native path to the movie file in the Kodi db, couldn't you just do the same for the trailer? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 (edited) Depends on how Kodi handles things for local trailers. If they are imported or not. I don't believe they are otherwise, they'd show up in your library as content. Seems to me that if playback starts for your trailers, but is very slow, there's nothing we can do. You'd have to post on the official kodi forums to find out how to improve this aspect because it has nothing to do with emby with kodi. bozrdnag 75 Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 I'd have to double check, but IIRC, in the Kodi Videos db under the movies tables there is a column where Kodi records the path or URL of the trailer associated with a given movie. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Yes and that should already be filled. Can you provide your kodi log? 1
bozrdnag 75 Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 I'm tied up right now. I'll post one tomorrow. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk 1
