Excluding folders ?

Simple problem .. My file structures also hold metadata from other devices (specifically WD Live TV box), resulting in various folders at the same level as the movie root folders. MB sees these as "Movies", so I end up with a whole pile of movies called .wdtvdb or something similar. Is there any way to force MB3 to ignore certain names?

A .ignore file in the folders should do it but, if they are dynamically created by software, those may get removed.

 

If you provide Luke with exactly what they are doing, we may be able to have the server react to it.

So ... an example of part of my movie "structure would be

 

\\network\BluRay\Movies\ ------> below which each movie is represented by a folder named for the movie. This same subtree is named in my WDTV media library as a folder to scan for movies, when the WDTV box scans this structure to build a movie list, it adds a folder called .wd_tv at the level immediately below \Movies\, i.e. at the same level as the movie folders themselves. Below this .wd_tv folder are two files, one's a small database, the other is an XML file. Western digital software is awful, and so I often have multiple versions of the .wd_tv folder present because I have multiple WDTv boxes, they also don't clean up after themselves very well, so there's often a slight mess below the .wd_tv root folder as well.

 

My structure for MB3 has several folders for Movies, to distinguish DVD from BluRay, and Music DVDs from Movies, so I end up with a whole load of "movies" in my list, whose name is some variant of .wd_tv. I can live with it, but it has a low Spouse Acceptance Factor, so was just wondering if there was some pattern matching capability to exclude certain kinds of "magic" names.
