Chromecast resets after latest update on HD Live tv channels and other Chromecast problems

Sorry if this is a wrong forum.

I have been using emby for over a month and I was completely happy at the beginning.

That's why I bought the lifetime license.

A month ago I could start watching movie/live tv on any device select aspect ratio and stream quality, and then select the cast icon and the video stream was transferred to chromecast.

This stopped about 1-2 weeks ago, and then a quick fix was to select chromecast as player and then play the video.

Since the last chromecast update (5th of June) I cannot watch any live tv HD channels. The chromecast starts buffering then reboots.

My Emby setup:

- Windows 10 with Emby for Windows, configured with letsencrypt certificates on no-ip domain.

Connected to Tvheadend server, with tvheadend plugin.

- Streaming to chromecast ultra, from chrome,android.

- A few kodi clients connected with emby for kodi.

Any to chance to bring back the old playback method to chrome (start playback then cast)?

Any chance to enable stream quality/aspect ratio on player for chromecast ?

Any HD video playback from the video library works on Chromecast without any problems.

Live HD TV works on Emby for android + chrome on windows.

You should still be able to start playback locally, then transfer to chromecast by switching players. what happens when you try to do that?

I think the problem might be that we are stream copying the original video and not transcoding. The original video is interlaced and chromecast doesn't support that. If you grab the beta server this should be fixed and it will transcode. thanks.

I installed the latest beta version.

Chromecast still resets on interlaced 1080i live tv.

No problems with SD channels, and FHD video files from library.

With the stable Emby server, i start playback and then select cast to chromecast, nothing happens.

With the beta version I can start playback locally,then cast to chromecast and playback works.
