rhodges 49 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 This is probably not something you can really correct, but, when I run Kodi on my Nvidia Shield and use this great plugin, what is reported in the Emby management dashboard is "Kodi (localhost)". It really isn't localhost. Is there a way to get a little more control over what it reports to Emby?
anderbytes 141 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Actually, Emby could be a little more careful on the inclusions... What damned thing the clients send doesn't care as much as what the server allows to be inserted inside itself.

anderbytes 141 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Maybe I should elaborate differently. 1. Sometimes my Kodi appears several times at the devices list, as if I had several Kodies. 2. All devices are just mixed in a single list 3. I can't manage (permit or prohibit) devices that appear Conclusions: it doesn't serve for much. It just a list of what it finds. There should be an active management and control, and avoid the creation of duplicates or such Sent from my ASUS_Z017DA using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 I see duplicates as well. There's no way to get rid of them, they just come back. I've seen it happen for Kodi and even theater on ps4. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
djhifi 56 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 I can also confirm this. My Shield also reports as "localhost". Previously this behaviour didnt happen, so maybe something altered it along the way?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) This is probably not something you can really correct, but, when I run Kodi on my Nvidia Shield and use this great plugin, what is reported in the Emby management dashboard is "Kodi (localhost)". It either takes what Kodi reports as a device name, or whatever you set in the add-on settings. Edited August 5, 2017 by Angelblue05
