I had to reformat my hard drive and after I reloaded media center I don't see a checkbox anywhere under any of the settings to turn off the dim unselected. Am I missing something? Any idea where its at?

I think I removed that option because it was about five years old and I wasn't even sure what it was supposed to do.  In any case, no modern theme was paying any attention to it.

my posters are now dim, except for the selected one. Before all of them were the same brightness. It is now a lot more difficult to read all of the titles at a glance in poster view when they are dim

I can bring it back but it won't be until the next MBC release which may be a while.

In the interim, the option is still there, it was just removed from the configuration interface.  So, you can manually edit your user config file to turn it off.

How do I edit the config file manually to do this?
